What did terminal brain cancer offer Philip Hills and Melinda Luck?

MELINDA LUCK

Join us in the conversation with Melinda Luck talking about “The Man Who Tried to Prove Too Much” - the book her husband Philip Hills sat down to write when he was given only twelve months to live, having been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. He lived twenty-four months and was able to finish his book with it being published only weeks after he passed away in July 2023. Writing his book gave Philip a chance to look back and realize just how much he got away with, until he didn’t. The diagnosis was the proverbial bus that hit him hard and made him come to a sudden stop. He was not a man fighting cancer, but used the illness to heal and renounce what was not true in his life.

During our talk Melinda will share what it was like to support Philip to write and publish his book but also to intimately support someone in the last phase of their life.
